HISTORY OF THE REGION

 

The Northern Home Counties Region was formed in 1996 along with seven other Regions.
They were joined by the Irish, Scottish and Welsh Divisions.

REGIONAL OFFICERS AND COMMITTEE
The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are elected annually at the Regional Annual General Meeting.
Two delegates from each Centre within the Region are appointed annually by the Centre Committee's.
Finally, there may be up tp three co-opted members, these being current members of The Caravan & Motorhome Club who are not registered with any Centre and approved by The Club Executive Committee.


Normally the Chairman and Vice-Chairman may serve a maximum of three consecutive years. Their nomination for a further year may be accepted with the agreement of the Regional Council, and if elected, the member may complete a forth year in that office. A Chairman may stand for election again after being out of office for one year. A Vice-Chairman may stand for the office of Chairman without such a gap in office.

A Regional Officer cannot hold a position on any Centre Committee.
